John Wagner has been scripting for 2000 AD for more years than he cares to remember. His creations include Judge Dredd, Strontium Dog, Ace Trucking, Al’s Baby, Button Man and Mean Machine. Outside of 2000 AD his credits include Star Wars, Lobo, The Punisher and the critically acclaimed A History of Violence. John Smith is unquestionably a 2000 AD hero, with a host of creative credits to his name, including A Love Like Blood, Devlin Waugh, Firekind, Holocaust 12, Indigo Prime, Pussyfoot 5, Revere, Slaughterbowl, Tyranny Rex, Leatherjack, Dead Eyes and Cradlegrave. Smith has also written Future Shocks, Judge Dredd, Judge Karyn, Pulp Sci-Fi, Robo-Hunter, Rogue Trooper, Tales from Beyond Science, Vector 13 and Tales from the Black Museum. Smith’s work beyond the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic includes the long-running New Statesmen series in Crisis, DC/Vertigo’s Hellblazer and Scarab, and Harris Comics’ Vampirella. Charlie Adlard made his debut pencilling Judge Dredd in the eponymous Megazine; since then, he’s also illustrated Armitage and Judge Hershey in the Meg, and Judge Dredd, Nikolai Dante, Pulp Sci-Fi and Rogue Trooper in 2000 AD. His most recent work for the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic is the official sequel to Invasion!, the hard-hitting Savage. Beyond 2000 AD, Adlard has illustrated, Astronauts in Trouble, Codeflesh, DC/Wildstorm’s The Establishment, Shadowman, The X-Files, The Walking Dead and the graphic novels White Death and Rock Bottom. Jim Murray has illustrated several strips for The Galaxy’s Greatest Comic including Judge Dredd, Harmony, Batman/Judge Dredd and Sláine. Carl Critchlow is another 2000 AD artist whose popularity is rising, thanks primarily to his work on the co-created semi-comic sci-fi strip Lobster Random. He made his debut some years previously, however, working on Nemesis and Deadlock, then moving on to Batman/Judge Dredd, Flesh, Flesh 3000 AD, Future Shocks, Judge Dredd, Mean Machine and Tales of Telguuth. Outside of 2000 AD, Critchlow is well known for his work on Thrud The Barbarian. Gordon Rennie is one of 2000 AD's most prolific creators, with co-creative credits for Caballistics, Inc., Missionary Man, Necronauts, Storming Heaven, Rain Dogs and Witchworld. Rennie has written for Heavy Metal and Warhammer, as well as Species, Starship Troopers and White Trash. Patrick Goddard’s clean art style has graced many strips in the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic. Co-creator of the Megazine series Wardog, he has penciled Judge Dredd, Mean Machine, Middenface McNulty, Sinister Dexter and took over the art duties on Savage from Charlie Adlard.
