Reverence for God is preserved in the capitalization of all pronouns referring to the Father, Son, or Holy Spirit. Readers who are more comfortable with another translation can readily find the parallel passage by means of the chapter and verse reference at the end of each passage being exposited. Born in London in 1962, only 17 years after the end of World War II, the author grew up against a backdrop of 60s and 70s London, from flower power to walking on the moon, punk rock to the IRA bombings, a canvass developed with a sharp eye for 'the human condition'. 'It is not that right and wrong, good and evil, are not considerations; it is only that they remain the purview of humankind alone in all the cosmos.'
