Judy was born and raised in the Bay Area of California and grew up in the 60's and 70's. She lived in San Francisco for 14 years and attended San Francisco State University where she earned her B.S. and M.S.Degrees. Emphasis of studies was in Human Services, Psycho Social aspects of aging and disabilities, and Recreation and Leisure Studies. She earned the status of Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. Her career spans 40 years of providing direct services and programs for persons with disabilities. Her creative talents have been spread wide. She directed Recreation Programs on an AIDS Hospice unit in San Francisco and served in numerous community based and health care settings. Always viewing "The Arts" as a healing avenue, diverse and passionate in bringing out smiles and creativity in others even when things seemed extremely dim. Her co-workers have described her as a "Bohemian Artist- in Residence", with a sophisticated sense of humor, and a wild side to her respectable presence. Currently she resides in Oregon. She is an accomplished photographer and enjoys outdoor activities During the 2020 of crazy Covid 19 and BLM movement, she recently found healing and hope through the process of creating a cartoon journal. The drawings capture the times through humor and thoughtful reflections. ENJOY
