Tim Hoppey was born and raised on Long Island in New York. For more than 20 years, he has worked as a New York City firefighter in the neighborhood of East Harlem. In his spare time, Hoppey has written several children's books including Tito, The Firefighter published by Raven Tree Press. He lives with his wife Ellen, their three kids, and a 14-year-old cat named Scarlet.
