Just a Dream is like a dangled bone to a hungry dog that is dripping froth from its mouth like snowflakes. I know not whether a bite is possible, but I do know that yesterday has gone, today is here, and tomorrow is on the verge. I hope, I hope.

Vernal Wright lives and works in Hammersmith, London, where his job as an assistant librarian enables him to indulge his passion for words. When he's not issuing books and other materials, he writes about nature's gifts (i.e., stones, trees, weeds, rivers, insects, and other creatures). Inspiring the author's own poetry, the words of an unknown poet came to light for Vernal Wright at a photography studio located in Half Way Tree, Kingston, Jamaica. He was there for a passport photo shoot, with plans to go somewhere-but where, he doesn't know. The author expresses his thanks to Dawn Scott Marsden and Courttia Newland, his proofreaders. These two wonderfully talented people-in addition to those at Real Jamaica Radio (RJR), a local London community radio station, and its listeners-have exercised unique skills and forbearance during some of the author's difficult times. If dreams were his, and if day and night counted as one, then the author would give them all just to have more fans like these.
