Every one of us has a history. We all possess an insight that only each individual can call his/her own based on the life that he/she has lived. It is in that which brings this book to the world. Author S. L. (Steve) Brown lives in St. Albert, Alberta, close to his three adult children. He is a self-admitted daydreamer, like Mahana, with an active imagination and a love for adventure (which occasionally got him into trouble when he was younger) that he now channels into his writing. This is Brown's first published book. Illustrator Greg McConnell lives in beautiful Nanaimo, British Columbia, on Vancouver Island with his wife and two daughters, who provide him with endless inspiration and a continuous supply of crayons. Greg has worked in the animation industry for twenty years on a number of cartoons, including My Little Pony and Martha Speaks, a show created from the works of famed children's book author Susan Meddaugh. When not drawing for animation or illustration projects, Greg likes to... well... draw, and also sculpt, or do anything creative and hands-on. His two daughters have also started to develop grand artistic skills and love to join in on any family creative fun.
