Autorenporträt
Mark Orwoll has had a long career as a journalist, starting in newspapers in California and later in magazines in New York City. He was on the staff of Travel + Leisure for thirty years, where he had more than two thousand bylines and held an assortment of titles, including Managing Editor and International Editor. He is now a freelance writer specializing in adventure, food and wine, and offbeat travel for such outlets as the Los Angeles Times, Slate Magazine, The Saturday Evening Post, Condé Nast Traveler, the Sydney (Australia) Morning Herald, Frommer's Travel, and the Travel Channel, as well as his alma mater T+L. He is the author of three previous books: John Wayne Speaks, e-Travel, and Cross Purposes. He lives with his wife in the Lower Hudson Valley of New York.
