Autorenporträt

Leilehua is a Hawaiian cultural practitioner, artist, author, and educator. Her work has been published in the U.S., Canada, and Japan. She primarily writes on Hawaiian culture and arts, basing both her non-fiction and her fiction on some 30 years of research in her field. Her artwork has been shown at galleries on the Big Island of Hawai`i and in Japan, and has been bought by locals and visitors alike. Some of her pieces have gone as far afield as Japan, China, New Zealand, Canada, Germany, and Finland. She continues to teach in Hawaiʻi, Japan, and California.
