It took the author over thirty years to collect the 935 proverbs contained in this book. Apart from the introductory chapter to the Kakwa history, the book has five other chapters categorized into existence, logic, religion and spirituality, morals, and aesthetics. Each proverb is written in Kakwa followed by its literal meaning and then the actual meaning. It is thought that the literal meaning can help in imagination, symbolism or perception. Brief notes are also given for each proverb to enable people who are not familiar with Kakwa culture and language comprehend the circumstances under which each proverb was produced.
