During the late 19th and early 20th centuries, a wide variety of industries made Kalamazoo a boomtown. Fortunately, much of KalamazooAaA(a¬AAa's development has been well-documented through photographs and other visual illustrations. These images are the subjects of this volume, which is organized to show the varied elements of KalamazooAaA(a¬AAa's history. Gathered from local archives and private collections, most of these rare photographs have never before been published.

Autorenporträt
A lifelong resident of the Kalamazoo area, David Kohrman is currently a student of Public History at Western Michigan University with an interest in photography and architecture. He is the creator of a website entitled Built Kalamazoo, which serves as an online tour of the city''s architecture. He is also the author of Detroit''s Statler and Book-Cadillac Hotels, another title from Arcadia Publishing.
