As a geek, he was a top rated computer scientist / engineer for several major entities, and received close to thirty-five awards over a fifteen year time span. As a nerd, while working two full-time jobs and going to school full-time, he received degrees in computer science and business management, graduating Summa Cum Laude and Magna Cum Laude, respectively. As a creative spirit, he designed clothing--from initial concept to finished garment--while weeding his way around the hectic fashion industry. He then moved on to photography, at the behest of many fashion models, who regularly praised his professionalism while working with them. Mr. Dichma has worked with special needs kids and adults for Special Olympics Germany, has taught computer literacy on a volunteer basis, and has sponsored groups such as the 1300 plus member Chicago Fashion Industry (now called Chicago Fashion Connect), which he founded in 2006.
