William J. Dometrich, Hanshi, 8th Dan, began his training in Japan in 1953 under the direct guidance of Tsuyoshi Chitose, founder of Chito Ryu Karate-do. One of American martial arts' most knowledgeable and respected teachers, William Dometrich is a living icon of traditional karate values, and a direct link to its most fabled masters. He is the cofounder of the United States Chito Ryu Karate Federation.
