Hazel Brown is a registered native title claimant, a former rural laborer, and a former member of Western Australia's first metropolitan Commission of Elders. Kim Scott is the award-winning author of Benang: From the Heart, The Deadman Dance, The Dredgersaurus, and True Country. He is the recipient of two Miles Franklin Awards.
