Get out of that "I'm too old for this" mindset and reclaim your mobility with this unique guide to inserting daily microburst movements while revisiting childhood development. Challenge your attitude about aging and rediscover the joy of movement in Keep Skipping! Stream micro movements into your routine, from sitting to skipping and between! Written by Marian F. Perillo, a physical therapist with more than 40 years of experience working with all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, Keep Skipping! offers practical strategies and recommendations to improve mood and momentum to develop a more active lifestyle. Perillo shares stories of working with former patients at various mobility levels and how avoidance mindsets affect outcomes. While coming to terms with her aging, she discovered through her pediatric practice that skipping and using a mini trampoline positively impacted her mental and physical health. Keep Skipping! is specially designed for people in mid-life who live a sedentary lifestyle and need the motivation to begin with the basics. Use this book to increase your awareness of the activities you have started to avoid, with information on essential tests on mobility and independence, such as getting up from the floor, walking speed, and climbing steps. The benefit of dancing is also promoted. This book is a launchpad to fine-tune your approach to any exercise framework.
