Kemetic Orthodoxy is a modern organized religion based on the faith of the people of Kemet. Since its inception in 1988, the group follows the teachings of Rev. Tamara Siuda, who is the founder of the religion and who continues to serve as the faith's central teacher and spiritual leader. The Kemetic Orthodox religion does not follow a single scripture, but rather a fluid understanding of balance, justice and truth. Worship often takes place in a shrine, which exist in both public and personal forms. Adherents refer to the religion as a "living religion"; that is, a religion which grows and changes as though it were a living thing.
