Autorenporträt
My name is Keona Dooley, the owner of J&K Style Grill, and this is my first cookbook. At the time of this book's publishing, I am a fifteen year old high school student with dreams of expanding the J&K Style Grill brand that my mom and dad have provided for me since I was just nine years old. I was born in Tucson, AZ to two great parents who are both retired military veterans. My dad, Kelvin, served twenty-five years in the United States Army, and my mom, LaTonya, served for twenty-two years in the United States Air Force. They have taught me the discipline to succeed and how to have the "I'm a winner" mentality. My dad has been in the food industry for over thirty years, and he has taught me the fundamentals of incorporating all five senses as you prepare and present food to others. It keep things simple and helps me successfully make excellent recipes. My mom has taught me the operations of being a business woman such as how to stay focused, remain on task, and have integrity overall. This book means so much to me. I hope it inspires people to get into the kitchen, open their imagination to different styles of food, and enjoy making these dishes with family and friends.
