With a crippled body and a broken spirit, Johnny Hendricks is forced to face the battle of his life. A horrific auto accident has taken a friend and left Johnny bound to a wheelchair. It infuriates him that God has brought him so far only to take his dream away from him. The realization that God didn't leave him and he was the one who left God, humbles him and puts him on the right path. A still small voice in the night gives him a new vision of a project that only he can do. A ghost from the past and an unknown Yooper, who is on the run, are just two of the hurdles Johnny faces on this uphill climb. As usual, God, in his wisdom and mercy, throws in a few new elements to make this a fascinating read.

Autorenporträt
Brian Kent Holmes was born in 1943 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and spent the next 18 years doing little to distinguish himself in the field of academics. After a poor showing in college he joined the army and spent most of the next three years serving in West Germany. After his discharge, he remained in Europe spending nearly two years traveling and growing. In Ireland, he turned a life long love of traditional music and guitar playing into a foreign exchange program trading American folk music for Irish tunes and stories.Back in the states at the age of 25 with no appreciable skills or opportunities, he joined the work force at a Ford Assembly Plant near Detroit, married a home town girl and had a son. The relationship lasted five years, with an amicable split. Four years later Holmes married Judy St. Andre, and bore two daughters.Judy, an accomplished alto vocalist helped rekindle the musical flame in Brian, and over the next 40 years he wrote 35 songs, a Cantata, a number of poems, four award winning short stories, as well as 3 plays and to this point 4 novels. Judy's parents were born and raised in the Keweenaw Peninsula in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and retired there on Lac La Belle. All of the knowledge and cultural experiences garnered from the family's annual trips over a 25 year period in this wonderful Finnish/ American society were the backdrop and inspiration for Keweenaw Grace, and Keweenaw Hope.Holmes' two daughters are married and so far have anted up four grand children; his son is a successful businessman in Southern California.Holmes is currently working on Keweenaw Faith to complete the trilogy.
