Everything was SO thought out! (I LOVED the Holy Days as a bouquet of flowers.) Your book lists the Plan of Salvation so beautifully." Autorenporträt
About the Author Ramona has a passion for creating books that go hand-in-hand with her love for kids. With children and grandchildren of her own, decades of childrens books have inspired her art and writing. Growing up in Texas, Ramona read everything from the little Golden books, joke books, the classics, to mysteries. Going to the library meant transporting to different places and times all by turning the page. After high school, Ramona moved to California and studied a bit of everything at college-- but stayed close to her first loves of art and writing. Her graphic design degree and lots of work in the field helped prepare her for creating childrens books. Now, as a South Arkansas author and illustrator who reads with her grandkids, Ramona sees the power that books possess. They can either emphasize the hard, cold side of life or they can show beautiful things and what is right in the world. They can perpetuate fallacy, or they can direct young minds to a road of truth. They can be tools of fear or the voice of comfort when trouble abounds. Ramona believes that along with textbooks, suspenseful books, and story books, there is a place for books with good values, that prevent problems and help kids deal with difficult issues. Children are not immune to the hardships of life so they need books that include serious subjects. Even when the writer does not have all the answers, books help show kids how other people have dealt with life's pitfalls. And the fact that we as humans do not have to face our problems alone gives reassurance. Children that read books with the message of faith in a caring God are especially blessed. Ramona smiles when readers report that her books have been a blessing to their families in particular.
