In this sobering sequel to his first poetic volume, Richard Lee Granvold presents a thundering sermon railing against the ongoing epidemic of gun violence in America. Rooted in the chaos of the Trump era, Granvold trains his lyrical eye on the forest fires sweeping over his home state of Oregon, the eruption of violent protests and riots¿some just, and others less söand the spiritual decay of a country suffering bitter political strife. With his signature songlike verses, Granvold writes a pained call to action to hark to America's better angels while there's still time.
