The first in the hilarious GHOSTWRITER MYSTERY SERIES, a contemporary cozy with unexpected twists and turns from the international best-selling author. No one bats an eyelid when a bag lady washes up on the shores of Sydney, sans five fingers and decked out in designer couture; nor is anyone too perturbed when socialite Beatrice Musgrave plunges to her death soon after. No one, that is, except ghostwriter Roxy Parker. She's been ghostwriting the heiress's story and has just stumbled upon a secret worth killing for. From the posh suburbs of Sydney to small-town, outback Australia, Roxy finds herself lured into a web of intrigue where time has healed no wounds and the bandages are unravelling fast. With a menacing stranger at her heels and a handsome friend hiding a secret of his own, Roxy knows she has to act fast. Pity there's one final twist she won't see coming… A NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR: "This book contains some adult language and Australian slang-both part of the richness of the Aussie lexicon. No offence is intended."
Autorenporträt
Christina (C.A.) Larmer tried writing a romance at the age of 13 but pretty soon she'd slaughtered the hero and planted it on the heroine. It was the beginning of a beautiful love affair that has now resulted in three crime series, including the Amazon best-selling Agatha Christie Book Club, the Ghostwriter mysteries, the Posthumous Mystery series, and a stand-alone mystery masquerading as a family saga (she's fooling nobody). Born and bred in Papua New Guinea, Christina has lived and worked around the world from New York and Los Angeles to London and Sydney. A journalist, editor, teacher and mentor, she now runs an indie publishing business from the Byron Bay hinterland, on the east coast of Australia, where she lives with her musician husband, two sons, a devilish Blue Heeler and countless koalas and snakes, none of which come close to the villains in her books.
