Jack the Ripper is back! A new science called Awakening has turned the world upside down. It gives the gift and the curse of being able to delve back into your past lives. But one past life is so strong that it overcomes its existing identity. The life of someone who should never have been allowed to exist in the first place. Leather Apron, Jack the Ripper, The Whitechapel Murderer, he is known by all these names. And now he wants to kill again. In a race against time, past-life detective Jason Ives, and Ripperologist Isambard Smythe, must find him before he finds his true love... and kill her again. But to find the modern day killer, they must find the answer to one of the greatest crime mysteries of them all... Who was Jack the Ripper in 1888? Real facts from the original Jack the Ripper casebook, are blended into a story set in the near future, where the victims and officers involved in the original investigation are interviewed in their new bodies and we delve into the mind of the first modern serial killer. Scanoir meets London historical fiction.
Autorenporträt
M W Taylor is otherwise known as Mark Taylor, but there seems to be a lot of them in the world, hence having to use his initials. Unfortunately he also thinks it makes him sound intelligent. A forensic photographer for Scotland Yard for almost 24 years, Mark has seen many unusual sides to life, often giving a unique slant to his writing. He lives in Surrey, England. His first book is 'The Many lives of Adam Capello', which descibes our world in the near future, where everything has changed because of the science of Awakening. A science that lets anyone see back into their past lives to regain old skills. His new book is 'Killing Time'. Set in the same world of Awakening, Jack the Ripper is back in London and being hunted by a past life investigator and a Victorian Ripperologist.
