Autorenporträt
Aldyth Irvine-Harrison was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and she received her secondary education at St Hughes High School for Girls in Kingston. She received her tertiary education at Sir George Williams (Concordia) and McGill University in Montreal, Canada. She taught in the Quebec school system for 35 years. She has an abiding love of music and sang in choirs and a few operettas. Her love of travel is manifested in her poetry. She has been to many countries. Her exciting memories were of the places less traveled, like Tibet, the Galapagos Islands and the Gobi Desert. References to some of these places appear in her poems. Her most beautiful recollections were the people that she encountered and their gestures of kindness.
