In order to facilitate research in the field of biotechnology, researchers need to study deep different biomass that would yield sustainable biofuels. This thesis explains and analyzes the utilization of elephant grass for bio-ethanol production and other industrial chemicals. It shows how glucose-an intermediate for bio-ethanol production could be obtained in high yield from elephant grass at optimum conditions. The use of Aspergillus niger to achieve this goal, gives a breakthrough on reducing production cost.
