Autorenporträt
Dorothy Cross was born in Cork, Ireland, in 1956. Her work ranges from object to opera: working with sculpture, photography and video. Her work examines the relationship between humans and the natural world - considering what is sacred and maligned. Some recent solo exhibitions/projects include: Damascus Rose, Frith Street Gallery (2022), I dreamt I dwelt, Kerlin Gallery, Dublin, (2019); Heartship, Sounds from a Safe Harbor festival, Glance, New Art Centre, UK (2017-18). Work by Dorothy Cross is in the collections of The Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin; The Hugh Lane Gallery, Dublin; The National Gallery of Ireland, Dublin; The Ulster Museum, Belfast; Crawford Art Gallery, Cork; Art Pace Foundation, Texas; The Arnolfini Trust, Bristol; and the TATE, London.
