It is named for the Kirtland's Warbler, and a Kirtland's Wildlife Festival is sponsored by the college.Kirtland s Warbler Wildlife Festival is a celebration of nature. The festival is named for Kirtlands Warbler, an endangered bird who, during summer months, makes its home in the Jack Pine forests that surround the college and migrates to the Bahamas for the winter.
