She was all black, Binky was her name, a baby, quite small, but a cat all the same. Daisy was ready to give some kisses, but when she ran over, she was met with hisses. Will Daisy be friends with this kitten and learn what that hissing's about? You'll have to read the book if you want to find out! Kisses Not Hisses is a story of dreams, friendship, learning, respect, and personal growth. It may seem like it's just about a dog and a kitten, but it is full of lessons everyone needs to learn, or be reminded of, every now and then.

Autorenporträt
JD Addams (who also goes by Jessie) has spent her entire life as a performer. She's known for singing, acting, directing, and even teaching children about the arts; but she also has a very strong love for writing. From the time she was a child, she spent the majority of her time creating stories. Although JD stopped sharing her stories at an early age due to her insecurity about her dyslexia, it never stopped her from writing for herself and her own enjoyment. After years of only focusing on her theatrical endeavors, a combination of adopting two new kittens and trouble sleeping at 2 AM resulted in her realizing that she was actually pretty good at rhyming. The next thing she knew, she'd brought a new story to life, and suddenly the creative writing door was thrown back open. From there, JD wrote over five new books over the course of four months; most of which were inspired by her pets. After years of dedicating her life to the stage, JD finally realized that her dyslexia couldn't dictate which arts she could take part in and amongst all her theatrical pursuits she could be a writer too if she really wanted to. She hopes that through telling these tales, readers see that anyone can do anything and that no label can ever hold them back from what brings them happiness.
