Katrina Matich grew up in Auckland, New Zealand and visits the Waitakere Ranges regularly. She wanted to write a book to showcase the New Zealand native flora and fauna. Her desire to achieve her dreams has inspired this story of Cornwall the kiwi. Katrina has faced many challenges in her life and she wants to inspire all young children.
