The concept of a Junior Enterprise originated in 1967 at the Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales in Paris. Today, Junior Enterprises are active in almost every country in the world. In 1988, the axis of the France-Brazil Chamber of Commerce conceived the Junior Enterprise Movement in Brazil, so that the dissemination of these companies in higher education institutions gave rise to Brasil Júnior, the Brazilian Confederation of Junior Enterprises, which is responsible for standardising and formalising the procedures involved in the formation and development of a Junior Enterprise. The main objectives of a Junior Company are to generate differentiated professionals and offer quality services at a cost below the market, providing accessible and necessary solutions to the challenges encountered in organisations. In this context, KNEX was set up at UEPB, providing the institution's students with the necessary conditions to apply and improve the theoretical knowledge acquired during the course, developing their critical, analytical and entrepreneurial spirit. In this book, as an experience report, we describe the challenges, achievements and relevance of the venture.
