Dorothy Ratigan's career in fiber arts spans thirty years. As a shop owner she sold needlecraft supplies and taught classes in knitting, crewelwork, crochet, needlepoint, weaving, bargello, embroidery and cross-stitch. As president and co-owner of Pine Tree Knitters, she designed knitted skiwear, oversaw a production staff and marketed finished items to L.L. Bean, Eddie Bauer and others. She has worked on countless books and magazines and one of her designs is in The Vogue Knitting Book.
