CARLOS EDUARDO VIEIRA, an American businessman and philanthropist, is the vice president of A.V. Thomas Produce, the largest producer of organic and conventional sweet potatoes in the United States, established by his great-uncle in 1960. He is also the founder of the Carlos Vieira Foundation, which sponsors three initiatives-the Race for Autism, the Race 2B Drug Free, and the Race to End the Stigma-dedicated to raising awareness of autism, addiction, and mental illness. Vieira, born in 1972, is also a competitive race car driver and the owner of the number 51 car, competing in various race series through- out the West Coast. He is the creator and CEO of the lifestyle brand 51FIFTY, which is about self-empowerment and living life to the fullest. The father of two daughters, Vieira lives with his wife, Aysia, in Atwater, California.
