- Critically-acclaimed author: Jeff Johnson has received praise from numerous high-profile authors (including John Irving and Katherine Dunn) and media outlets (such as Time Magazine) - A delightfully eccentric cast of characters: Knottspeed offers a wide variety of truly unique characters and an anti-hero protagonist that can't help but be charming despite (and perhaps because of) his rough edges. - Urban noir at its best: Fans of authors like Irvine Welsh and Jerry Stahl will love the grittiness of this urban mystery while also appreciating the heart behind the story.

Autorenporträt
Jeff Johnson burst onto the literary scene in 2009 with his critically-lauded memoir Tattoo Machine: Tall Tales, True Stories, and My Life in Ink (Spiegel & Grau) filled with stories from his twenty-year career as a tattoo artist in the Pacific Northwest. Johnson is now a full-time writer, artist, and musician, and Knottspeed is set in his old haunts of Portland and Los Angeles. Jeff is also the author of a modern twist on a werewolf tale Everything Under the Moon (Soft Skull Press, September 2016), and the forthcoming crime novel Lucky Supreme.
