Having fought him off, she makes her excuses to his wife and leaves, but Joanna has unwittingly discovered Royston has a secret, that if revealed will ruin his parliamentary career. Royston in fear of a scandal, deposits hush money in Joanna's bank account without her knowledge. She will use it wisely. Siblings Giles and Lizzie Owen, grow up in dysfunctional family, and are friends with both Riley boys. A terrible accident takes Patrick's life, and leaves Giles injured, leaving Lizzie at the hands of Liam Riley. Ava and Imogen Chase, are mother and daughter.
