It is hoped that through youth, sustainable economic growth and development will be realized in the long-run, as a higher stock of skilled human capital will trigger more productivity in the economy hence positively impacting the national income of Rwanda. Entrepreneurship and technology has been identified as one of the most important strategies for enhancing job creation thus creating sustainable economic growth and development especially for the youth and the graduating students from different universities/institutions. The main objective of this research is to assess the role of youth in establishing Rwanda as global competitive knowledge based economy.The study considered mainly secondary data and both qualitative and quantitative information from youth aged between 16-30 years old. Data used was collected by National institute of statistic of Rwanda (NISR).
