In this study, we set out to assess the current state of theoretical knowledge and the level of involvement of general practitioners in the management of sleep disorders. Based on the results, we concluded that, despite diagnostic and therapeutic advances in the field of sleep disorders, SAS is still a little-known pathology among general practitioners. We therefore need to reflect on the structural means capable of improving certain indications for the management of OSA in our country. In addition, the role of therapeutic education should be better defined and clearly provided in a multidisciplinary way, involving the general practitioner for the benefit of the patient.

Dr Walid FEKI. I trained as a pneumologist. I was born in Sfax in the south of Tunisia. I worked as a resident and then as a university hospital assistant between 2012 and 2018. I am currently Associate Professor of Pneumology at the Pneumology Department of the Hédi Chaker University Hospital in Sfax.
