When a divorcee from Eastern Oregon decides to pick up and leave her family ranch behind - the only thing she's ever known or loved - and move to Hawaii to start fresh, she soon realizes new beginnings can be complicated. Landing a new job and changing her attitude seems relatively easy for Delaney, but falling in love again is definitely not in her plans. That's something altogether different, especially since the only man who interests her seems to spend all of his time either surfing or playing music in a local band. Yet Waylon Slater is so much more than he appears. Will the secret life he's hiding keep him from starting a new one with Delaney? Or will Delaney's past keep her from accepting all of who this man is and has?

After years in academia, writing one research article followed by another, Gwen turned her talents toward writing fiction and found she happily could not stop. In addition to writing romance and cozy mysteries, Gwen has two published non-fiction books on the work she does in conjunction with her business, Expressive Voice Dynamics: Soul of Voice and Soul of My Voice.Gwen and her family currently live in Ashland, Oregon, home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Prior to that Gwen lived in Los Angeles and had careers in directing, acting, and singing while performing at the piano. She's a Puget Sound gal at heart though and you'll catch glimpses of this beautiful Washington area sprinkled throughout some of her books. When she's not reading, writing, or playing with her black pug--Gwen still regularly works in the theatre. She also assists expressive voice therapy clients in discovering more joy and meaning in their lives.
