Valery Vasilyevich Glushkov (nacido en 1949) es un historiador militar, geógrafo y experto en cuestiones territoriales. Profesor de la Universidad de la Amistad de los Pueblos de Rusia. Doctor en Ciencias Geográficas y Doctor en Ciencias Técnicas. Miembro de pleno derecho de la Sociedad Geográfica Rusa. Es autor y coautor de 27 libros y unos 200 trabajos científicos.
