The purpose of this work is to provide a complex analysis of Kosovo after the independence and the road toward European integration. Kosovo has been found many times at a crossroads and again it seems to be face to face with the crossroads. Among many struggles and sacrifices, finally, Kosovo has achieved independence which actually it is less than independence and more than autonomy. Among many efforts, it has adopted a new constitution and it is trying to establish well organized and democratic institutions. Among many efforts, it has succeeded to be member of most important international financial institutions. Among many efforts, it is trying to convince other countries to recognize its independence. Strongly supported by United States and most important European countries, Kosovo is moving slowly but with sure steps toward UN membership. However, after nearly 3 years of independence many things are going worse and worse. The lack of economic development became a serious problem. Unemployment remains the highest in Balkan and poverty is growing each day. The creditability of Kosovo government and international presence in Kosovo is decreasing every day in the mind of people.
