In 1969 the families situated at Baikampady were rehabilitated at Krishnapura and were alloted house sites of 12.5 cents each.It also houses the Krishnapura Matha, one of the ashta matha's founded by Dvaita philosopher Shri Madhvacharya.The matha is very ancient one.
