"It's all right to feel mad but you don't have to stay angry..." A valuable life lesson-wrapped up in a charming story on the savanna-where Kusa's day starts off on the wrong foot. The water hole is dry, her friends aren't there, and bees are swarming. She is mad! Can't anything go right? The day is ruined, and it's just begun. Then, a wise friend arrives with good advice and some tools to help turn her day around. Kusa realizes everyone feels frustrated and mad at times...and that's ok. But knowing how to deal with anger can change-not only your day-but your life. "As mayor, I am often asked to read to schoolchildren. I am excited to add Kusa Gets Her Mad Out! to my list of books. We all can keep a positive attitude and look at the bright side and choose constructive ways to deal with angry feelings." -Mayor Joe Schember, Erie, Pennsylvania "As a mom, I love how the author shares positive messages about how we treat ourselves and others. Kusa Gets Her Mad Out! is another excellent story-teaching children that bad things happen sometimes and it's okay to get angry...but we have the power to turn it around." -Renée M. Lamis, PhD, MPA
