Doctor J. Armando Barriguete Meléndez is a surgeon and psychoanalyst specialized in eating disorders, obesity, cardiology, and nutrition. He cofounded the first clinic for the treatment of eating disorders in Mexico in 1986. He is the president of the French-Mexican Medical Foundation and was named a knight of the French Legion of Honor.
