María de Lourdes Victoria es escritora de novelas, cuentos y literatura infantil en inglés y en español. Natural de Veracruz, actualmente radica en Estados Unidos. Su primera novela, Los hijos del mar, fue finalista del Premio Mariposa en la Feria Internacional de Libros Latinos en 2006. Más allá de la justicia, su segunda novela, fue finalista del Premio Planeta en 2010 y recibió Mención Honorífica en la categoría de Mejor Novela en Español en los International Latino Book Awards en 2012. Sus cuentos han sido publicados en prestigiosas revistas literarias, como Nimrod y Quercus Review. María de Lourdes Victoria is a writer of novels, short stories and children's literature in English and Spanish. A native of Veracruz, he currently lives in the United States. Her first novel, Los hijos del mar (The Children of the Sea), was a finalist for the Mariposa Award at the International Latino Book Fair in 2006. Más allá de la justicia (Beyond Justice), her second novel, was a finalist for the Planeta Prize in 2010 and received Honorable Mention in the category of Best Novel in Spanish at the International Latino Book Awards in 2012. Her short stories have been published in prestigious literary magazines, such as Nimrod and Quercus Review.
