Jennifer Mariela Rivera is an educator and poet. Born and raised in the diverse Miami, Florida. Her parents came to the United States from Puerto Rico and Nicaragua. Her poetry is stemmed from personal experiences and inspired by poets like Donna Weir-Soley, Maureen Seaton, and John Murillo.
