EUGENIO J. VEGA GEÁN. Jerez, 1967. Licenciado en Geografía e Historia y especialista en Antigua y Medieval por la Universidad de Sevilla. Profesor de EE. MM. (en La Salle de Jerez) e Historia de la Iglesia en el Instituto de Ciencias Religiosas Asidonenses y en el Instituto Teológico "San Juan de Ávila" (centros integrados en la Facultad de Teología de San Isidoro de Sevilla). Miembro de número del Centro de Estudios Históricos Jerezanos (del que fue su presidente y miembro de su junta directiva) y de la Real Academia de San Dionisio de Jerez, de Ciencias, Artes y Letras (pertenece a su junta de gobierno). Director, coordinador y miembro del consejo de redacción de varias revistas científicas y especializadas (Trivium, Humanística, Revista de Historia de Jerez, Asidonense, Ceretanum), es también ponente y coordinador de numerosos cursos, encuentros, congresos y jornadas. Columnista y colaborador de las páginas culturales de diversos diarios y medios de comunicación audiovisuales. Autor y coautor de varias decenas de libros y monografías, y de varios centenares de artículos y estudios. Entre sus últimos trabajos: Origen e Historia del Antiguo Obispado Asidonense (CEHJ-CSIC), Una comunidad andalusí olvidada (Peripecias), Inscripciones latinas de Jerez de la Frontera. Epigrafía y contexto (UCA), Arqueología de la Semana Santa en cuarenta estaciones (Alfar), Semana Santa de Jerez (Almuzara), y Estampas y figuras de la Gades romana y su comarca (Peripecias).
