Autorenporträt
Allison Jane Gonsalves was born in Ottawa, Canada. Her ancestral roots go back to India. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science and Doctorate in Medicine at the University of Ottawa, she completed a residency in Public Health and Preventive Medicine at the University of Calgary. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada. Allison started writing poetry in 2014. In 2019, she began adding visual artwork to her poems. She developed a love of French while studying the language in Ottawa and spoke it during her travels through France. That led her to the title of this collection of poems. Allison currently resides in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
