The objective of this notebook is to develop a textbook that complements (not substitutes) the standard texts. This is achieved by identifying and highlighting the missing or week points of these standard texts, especially as far as Africa Continent is concerned. In this line, the notebook gives detailed description of labour context in Africa, applies theoretical and standard tools with local behaviour, identifies and uses data from African countries or Third World, and tries to use commonly applied mathematics, statistics and econometric methods focusing on labour economics. At the end, some selected exercises are proposed to the reader to assess the understandings.

After studies at the University of Yaounde (Cameroon)and the University of Auvergne in Clermont-Ferrand (France),Roger Tsafack Nanfosso holds a Ph.D. in Business Economics and aPhD in Economic Sciences, and was ranked first to thecompetition of "Aggregation" in Economics in 2001. He is fullprofessor at the University of Yaounde II in Cameroon.
