Jean-Olivier Hairault is Professor at the Paris School of Economics and at Paris 1 University, and is a fellow of IZA (Bonn). His main area of research is the analysis of retirement decisions, job search and matching theory, and business cycles. He has published papers in journals such as Journal of Labor Economics, International Economic Review, Journal of Public Economics, Economic Journal, Journal of European Economic Association, Journal of Money Credit and Banking, Review of Economic Dynamics, and European Economic Review. François Langot is Director of the Economic Research Department at Le Mans University (GAINS-TEPP) and Associated Director of the Institute of Risk and Insurance at Le Mans. He is also Associate Professor at the Paris School of Economics and a research fellow at CES (Paris 1 University) and at IZA (Bonn).
