Productivity enables an organisation to be competitive, achieve set goals, meet stakeholder value propositions and maintain strategic and financial health. At the industry level, productivity enables the sector to maintain satisfied clientele, attract investment, remain viable and contribute to the economic growth and well-being of the nation. Improvement in the productivity construction industry is therefore of critical importance its significant contribution - of approximately 5 percent - to the GDP. Sufficient evidence suggests that on-site productivity measurements should be the basis for making productivity improvement decisions. This study focuses on on-site labour productivity constraints, since addressing these constraints will provide a much needed improvement in the productivity and performance of the industry.
