About the Author B. ANN BAYLISS acquired her writing skills from a daily journal she kept during the two decades of title search, lease acquisition, and title curative as a field landman in the oil and gas industry. Her work carried her across the country from the fields of Pennsylvania to the groves of California and from the plains of North Dakota to the swamps of South Louisiana. The people she met from all walks of life and the stories they told were all recorded in her journal and serve today as a bank of personalities and experiences, some of which are found in the characters of this book.
