Julia Mercedes Castilla writes for children, young adults and adults. Her books, short stories and articles have been published in Latin America, The United States, Africa and India. She writes in English and in Spanish. Castilla was born in South America. She did her university studies in English Literature in the United States. She is married and has three children. She has lived in Houston with her family for several years.
