John L. McLaughlin is professor of Old Testament/Hebrew Bible and interim dean of the faculty of theology at the University of St. Michael's College, Toronto, where he teaches ancient Israelite religion, Prophets, and Wisdom Literature, and is an associate member of the graduate faculty, Department of Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations, University of Toronto. His recent publications include The Questions of Jesus and Parables of Jesus (both Wipf & Stock), An Introduction to Israel's Wisdom Traditions (2018), What Are They Saying about Ancient Israelite Religion?
